The Science of Running Faster

What are we working on at Track Camp? What fundamentals do we practice every day during the track season? The techniques that make running faster and more efficient.

Our kids hear a lot about what their arms are doing, what their knees are doing and where their heels are. "Drive down" is a phrase they hear every day.

It's not as quick and easy as this video makes it look, but here's how, with time and repetition, all that attention to detail makes a difference...for performance in track and any other sport that involves running. (If the video doesn't appear below, click here.)

The registration deadline for spring sports at HRHS is only a few days away on Monday, February 24. Athletes must have registrations and athletic physicals on file by this date to participate in practice. If you haven't already registered and turned in your physical, don't delay!
