Week 2: May 10 - 15

Welcome to Week 2 of track season! If you thought Week 1 was busy, this week might redefine busy.

First, congratulations to all our athletes who competed in their FIRST meet of the season last week! We did not have any photographs for the meet (parents, please let us know if you would like to take photos and share them with the team on our Google Photos site), but here are results from:

Events This Week
We have THREE meets this week. To help parents and athletes keep track of who's going where, please see this summary of the registrations for this week's meets.

Again, we know this is a huge week for meets. Please consult the summary of registrations and let coaches know if you have any questions.

Also, we do encourage ALL ATHLETES to come to the Team Dinner on Friday night. This is a long-standing tradition for HRHS Track and has proven to be a great opportunity for team bonding. (We are still looking for two more families to host Team Dinners on June 4 and June 10. Please click on the date to sign up as a host.)

Meets, Fundraising, and Parent Volunteers

Thank you for your patience as the athletic office finalized our roster this week. We've been posting information on our website, but were unable to push it to email until our roster was finalized. Please read through this longer-than-usual email, as it contains a LOT of important information about the season.

Thank you to all those who attended the Parent Meeting on Monday night and Spike Night at Runners Roost on Tuesday.

  • If athletes still need spikes, Runners Roost will continue to offer a 15% discount to those who are part of our team.
Here's additional information for this week:

Meets

  • JV @ HRHS on Thursday 5/6 @ 3:30pm -- Athletes should go directly to the track after school. All athletes need to be at the meet. Those who are not competing will be running events. Click here for order of events.
  • Athletes often have questions about nutrition and how to pack food for a day-long meet. That and lots of other useful information can be found in our Team Handbook
  • We provide athletes with competition uniforms. Athletes provide their own warmer gear, and ideally that is HR Track gear. Click here for our online store where you can order HR Track gear to be delivered directly to you.

Fundraising

On Wednesday, athletes received fundraising contact forms that should be completed and returned at practice on Monday, May 10th. Click here for details on our fundraiser and additional copies of the contact form.

Help with Team Dinners

We have an immediate need for parents helps with Team Dinners this season.

Team Dinners are one of our most important opportunities for team bonding during the season. All athletes are invited.

A huge THANK YOU to the Lobojko Family for hosting our first Team Dinner on May 14th!!

We need parents to help provide food for May 14th and to host and/or provide food for our other Team Dinners on June 4th and June 10th.
