THANK YOU

A BIG THANK YOU to all the family and friends who have helped our team surpass the halfway mark on our fundraising goal through our SnapRaise Fundraiser!! Please share our fundraiser on social media or via text or email to help us reach our goal before 4/26.

Our goals for this fundraiser included a new team tent for meets, extra coaches beyond the 5 the district funds, equipment & implements ... and now after Saturday's windstorm that picked up our entire high jump pit and flipped it over the fence surrounding the track, a new high jump pit cover (these run in the $2,000-$3,000 range). We appreciate your support in this effort!!

COMING SOON

Our next Team Dinner is scheduled for 4/26 at HRHS. We hope all athletes will attend to celebrate our fundraising efforts and the results of our Frosh/Soph Championship.

We're looking for parents to host and help provide food and drinks for the meal. The main dish can be pasta, pizza, a taco bar, or whatever you dream up. Multiple families can come together to host. Please help keep this team tradition strong!

THIS WEEK

Wednesday 4/3 @ 2:00 pm - JV @ Echo Park

Saturday 4/5 -- Varsity @ JEFFCO STADIUM (Note: this is a new location)

Our Team!Snap fundraiser continues through 4/26, and we're off to a strong start thanks to several athletes who have shared the fundraiser through emails and texts! Click here to see our team video and support our team by sharing our fundraising page or donating:

We still have several athletes who have not entered emails or showed coaches their texts for the fundraiser, so we know we can finish strong with their help! Full participation from our team will help us fund:
  •  A new team tent for meets: Our current tent is several years old and has been "Frankensteined" together with spare parts from old tents as parts have broken from the wind. We are planning to get a new tent that is built to withstand winds as high as 35 mph.
  • Assistant Coaches: It takes a lot of expertise to coach distance, sprints, throws, jumps, and hurdles for 70+ athletes across JV and Varsity! The district only funds 5 coaches. Our team has 8.
  • New equipment and implements: Every year, we have equipment and implement needs. This is our first season with new blocks, a new pole vault pit cover, and a new hurdles cart we were able to purchase with last year's fundraiser. This season, we have already purchased new throws implements and training equipment and we also hope to invest in new timing equipment for sprinters with funds from this year's fundraiser.
  • Senior gifts and year-end awards and other team traditions

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

Support our Team!

Snap!Raise is our biggest fundraiser of the year. This year, our team needs to fund a new team tent for meets, extra coaches (the district funds 5 coaches; we have 8), new equipment and implements, and other needs as they arise. We ask that every athlete raise at least $100 to support our team through this fundraiser.

2.  Grab dinner at Chick-fil-A tonight after the JV meet or after practice and mention HRHS Track

THANK YOU AND GO FALCONS!

Parent Meeting Info and Next Steps

Thank you to all the parents who attended our parent meeting last night. You are our athletes' greatest fans and supporters, and we appreciate you! Here's a short list of what's coming up and a longer message from your boosters.

Next Steps:

  • Order your athlete's required team hoodie and any other fan gear you want (the fleece blankets are a long-time favorite)
  • Complete this parent form for our boosters to coordinate carpools for meets, order optional customized backpacks, and see how you can help our team this season

Team Dinners
Team Dinners are a long-standing tradition of HRHS Track and help sustain our team's positive culture. They're also a great chance for parents to get to know the kids and each other better. Thanks for helping us keep this great tradition strong by signing up to host or donate items for the meal. All team dinners begin at 5:15 pm.

Parent Form
We are asking all parents to complete THIS parent form so we can gather contact information for you and gauge your interest in supporting the various needs of our team. We sincerely appreciate any help you can provide and cannot do this without your help! Thanks, in advance, for helping make HRHS Track and Field a great experience for our athletes.

Swag and Bags
  • Team Store: Check out our Team Store where you will find the link to order the required hoodie for athletes, as well as other HRHS track swag. The team does not make a profit on these orders so we can keep the prices as low as possible for parents.
  • Embroidered Bags: We are offering an OPTIONAL bag this year. You will need to purchase your own backpack (black or dark gray) and we will have it embroidered with the HRHS Track Logo for an additional $15. HERE is the sample we shared at the parent meeting but you are welcome to find a backpack that works for your athlete. Please be sure the bag you order is a backpack with a face that will accommodate the logo (5in diameter) and that the logo spot is accessible (on a front pocket or where the machine can easily access it). If you are interested in having a bag embroidered, it is required that you complete the parent form and indicate that you want this option. We will contact you directly with the details (due date for bags, where we will be collecting them, payment for the embroidery, delivery of completed bags, etc.). If you have any questions, please contact Angie Austell.
